"He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was," Mark 1:34

Hebrew background....

In Matityahu ~ Matthew 9:22 which describes an unusual healing. A woman who hemorrhaged blood for twelve years received a miraculous healing after she touched a corner of Yeshua’ garment. The part of the garment she touched is called Tzitzit or tassels or fringes worn by Jews on four corned garments, (Bamidbar ~ Numbers 15:38-41). The Greek text says she touched κράσπεδον (kraspedon) “fringe” or “hem” and the Hebrew equivalent is כָּנָף (kanaf) which also means “corner” or “edge.”

What many people do not realize is that כְּנָפַיִם (kanafim) is also a Hebrew word for “wings.” Thus, in the Holy Writ, the “corners of garments” have sometimes been compared with “bird’s wings.” And what is even more amazing Yahweh apparently having a garment with such “corners” or “wings.”

The Psalmist writes, “Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me in the (בְּצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ) shadow of Your wings (Tehillim 17:8). “He will cover you with His pinions, and (וְתַחַת־כְּנָפָיו) under His wings you may seek refuge” (Tehillim 91:4).

This Jewish woman in Matityahu ’s story knew to seek shelter in the shadow of Elohim’ wings. “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness (שֶׁמֶשׁ צְדָקָה) will rise with healing in its wings (וּמַרְפֵּא בִּכְנָפֶיהָ); and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall” (Malach 3:20/4:2). And that is why Yeshua said to her that her faith made her whole. She recognized Yeshua as the Mashiach and knew that as Elohim’ anointed He had Elohim’ “healing in his wings”, the corners of his garment.

Going further....

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love," 1 Yochanan ~ John 4:18 Shalom Yeedeem , Baruch El Shaddai ! I would like to take a moment to preface this note with something we as Believers in Yeshua, should never do or have, that is fear , the fear of the unknown. More oft than not I share the Prophetic word of the Living Elohim’ , to some this may cause trepidation. The duality of the known versus the unknown can cause some to be very anxious.

Let me quote from Rav Sha’ul something that we should always have close in our hearts: We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Elohim, 2 Corinthians 5:8.

Mishpacha, this is a given, a known quantity. Again He tells us: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of Yah, which is in Mashiach Yeshua our Adonai, Romans 8:39.

When we slip the weight of our earthly bonds, we are immediately in the presence of the Living Elohim : For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will Elohim bring with Him, 1 Thessalonians 4:14. These known's shall be our inheritance, forevermore. Mishpacha, don’t let fear grip your life, embrace these Truth’s and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have asked Elohim’ forgiveness of your sins, if you don’t know Yeshua , you can do that right now, ask Him into your heart and life and receive His free gift of salvation.

Remember Yeedeem, Yeshua has given us cart blanche if you will, His authority to use His name, to take His Authority over every circumstance in our life! Yeshua is THE authority! Yeshua has authority over life, death, and the truth about HaShem. Yeshua has authority over religion, faith, and spiritual experience. Yeshua has authority over our lives and our destinies. Why? He is sent by Elohim’. He has the Spirit of Elohim without any limit. He is loved by Elohim as Elohim’ Son. ( Beni attah ani h-yom yelidticha, which means You are my son; today I have begotten you) And, as we will see at the end of His ministry, Elohim’ has validated his authority through the resurrection. Only “ONE” truly has authority and can speak for Elohim and his name is Yeshua ~ Jesus. Are you listening to Him?

One of the best examples of this ....Yeshua was tempted in every way and from the outset of His earthly ministry, Yeshua also demonstrated that He had complete authority over hasatan and every demonic force. He demonstrated this mastery after being tempted by hasatan in the wilderness.

After each one of these temptations, He was confronted by a man with an unclean spirit, who cried out, "What business do we have with each other, Yeshua of Natz'rat ~ Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are…..the Holy One of Yahweh!" Demonstrating His complete authority, Yeshua rebuked the demon, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!"

Hearing about the miracles from His ministry, people from all around "began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were demon-possessed." Yeshua healed the sick and "cast out many demons." He did not permit the demons to speak. They wanted to disrupt His ministry, but He controlled them, placing strict limits on their activities.

It is exciting to realize that we, as His followers, have the same power and authority as Yeshua displayed in His own life. He gave His disciples "authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness," Matityahu ~ Matthew 10:1

Yeshua told them, you and me : "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven," Matityahu ~ Matthew 16:19.

Whether we realize it or not, as Yeshua' disciples we have the same power and authority as He had. We don’t need to fear hasatan or his demons. Instead, we can be confident and bold: declaring Elohim’ promises…binding hasatan's power...freeing the captives…and healing the sick. This is HaElohim' offer for every Believer. We aren't victims, but victors….endowed with the very power of Yahweh.
