Aiming at the high precision requirement of the optical fiber delay line, the topology structure of the optical fiber delay line is designed based on the optical switch and optical fiber, and the influence of the optical fiber connection error and optical switch error on the accuracy of the delay line is analyzed. Error method. In the Matlab environment, all possible topological structures and corresponding error values are calculated.
The topology structure corresponding to the smallest error value is selected by setting conditions, and used for the design of high-precision optical fiber delay line. Simulation shows that with the optimized topology structure, when the switching error is less than 1 ps, the delay error is better than 2 ps. A 5-bit optical fiber delay line is constructed with magneto-optical switches and single-mode fiber, and the experimental results show that the error is better than 2.98 ps when the step is 100 ps.
