Peter informs us that he first met Sarah while getting involved in a charity walk, "We met in a charity snowdrop walk in memory of Christopher McKee (Peter's childhood closest friend and Sarah's colleague's nephew), who sadly died of meningitis a long time ago. I was seated opposite Sarah and Nan (her colleague) in the church hall for a cup of tea plus some sandwiches. We chatted to have an hour or so and went our separate ways without exchanging any numbers!" Peter then found Sarah on Facebook, slid into her DMs, and secured her number along with a first date! Love blossomed the next months plus they said 'I do two along with a half years later.
Peter popped the question within the unique locations we've ever shared included in our engagement stories! "Doing escape rooms is just one of our favourite hobbies then when Peter suggested doing one out of Portrush, it didn't seem unusual," Sarah says. "After having dinner for any friend's 30th in Neptune Prawn, we walked round to Elementary Escape Rooms in which the host Jenny (who had been in on the plan!) warmly welcomed us without giving anything away. I made my way through the escape room to locate a very nervous Peter on a single knee having an engagement ring!"
The couple informs us that their backyard wedding exceeded their expectations. "You never believe when individuals said their big day was the very best day of their lives however for us, it genuinely was," Peter says. "The weather was perfect, good friends and family surrounded us also it was so special marriage at the place where Sarah was raised."
Peter and Sarah inform us that their guests, and also the homely surroundings, made your day what it was. "The proven fact that, regardless of the pandemic and all sorts of the restrictions that included it, I was still in a position to have the most breathtaking day with this closest family and friends in Sarah's parent's garden, that was decorated and hang up by most of us, managed to get an incredibly big day for both people."
Sarah wowed inside a V-neck Jesus Piero gown with bow detail, which she sourced at Castle Couture. To complete her wedding-day look, she added white sandals from Zara along with a romantic pearl-embellished veil.
After experiencing multiple postponements and planning redos, the couple inform us the most important area of the planning was the commitment they desired to make to one another. "Obviously the pandemic meant we couldn't have the day that we had originally planned, but because the date grew nearer and also the pandemic was ongoing, it became clearer that the most crucial thing wasn't the wedding, however the commitment that we desired to make to one another."
With plenty of help from friends and family, this couple had probably the most magical day.
The couple had originally planned to honeymoon in Kenya, including a four-day safari along with a stop in Zanzibar for many RR, however, they've had to postpone until it's safe to visit again. Instead, they headed off on the minimoon towards the Lake Hotel in Killarney after the marriage and used their original honeymoon leave to complete a two-week journey around the UK. The pair informs us, "We'll have experienced three honeymoons when it's all over!"
