All you need to know about abroad education

A good education is an important, often even defining stage of life for most young people who dream of a dizzying career, good earnings, and professional and personal fulfillment. It's no secret that every year the prospect of obtaining a Ukrainian diploma makes us less and less happy - not a very good material and technical base (equipment and laboratories for practice and research are not enough, libraries often offer long-outdated textbooks), education is not always high quality, and the resulting crusts are not quoted everywhere.

Against this background, over the past 10-15 years, studying abroad has become increasingly popular among students thanks to Global Citizen! How justified is this trend? We will try to figure it out by considering the disadvantages and advantages of studying abroad.

Disadvantages

Cost of education

Often, studying and living abroad is quite expensive compared to domestic education. But, we are solving this issue - a part-time job (a visa "allows" to allocate 20 hours a week to work on campus, as an assistant at the department, etc.); a scholarship that partially covers the cost of studying; paid training, etc.

Distance and adaptation

At first, it is not easy for many to recover after arriving in a foreign country - a different culture, different rules, lack of friends and relatives, a different education system with strict requirements, a language barrier - all this first plunges into shock, but then comes euphoria, pride in one's independence and a thirst for adventure.

Red tape with documents

For everything to go smoothly with enrollment, it is necessary to prepare a package of documents carefully. Remember, no one knows you there or has never communicated with you. Your talents, knowledge, and aspirations will be assessed only by the paper evidence you provide to the Admissions Committee. In addition, it is necessary to pay sufficient attention to the issue of obtaining a visa since enrollment in a university still needs to guarantee your departure for study.

Advantages

Prestige and prospects

A foreign diploma gives serious weight to your resume and opens up broad prospects for employment in a solid position in a large company at home and abroad.

Multilingualism and expanding horizons

The experience of studying and living abroad is invaluable for at least three reasons: given the internationality of the student community, upon graduation, you are guaranteed to speak at least two foreign languages, get acquainted with different cultures, and, thirdly, you will be able to travel and make friends with people from other countries, who in the future may remain not just study friends, but also become business partners.

The prospect of staying in the country of study

Canada and Australia have open immigration policies. There are financial assistance programs for foreign migrants. In some European countries, given the demographic crisis today, staying for permanent residence after graduation is also realistic.

Real EDUCATION and its practical orientation

To get an education abroad, you must study - put in a lot of effort, learn on your own, and forget about indulgences.

Foreign universities provide all the resources necessary for studying - the latest laboratories, excellent modern libraries, mandatory internships in serious companies, and practicing teachers with extensive practical experience behind them - all this, with your desire and discipline, will allow you to acquire not only deep knowledge but also real professional skills, personal leadership qualities, which are so necessary for further employment.
