THE BEGINNING OF THE WAY PT 3

A NEW JOY - A NEW PURPOSE

When one experiences the new birth, he receives forgiveness of sin

This is not an imagination, but a reality which brings a deep sense of cleanness

And coming into personal fellowship with YAHWEH [the Eternal One] the Creator of all Heaven and Earth, produces joy and peace

It is the result of knowing that you are, at last, right with your Creator

You are saved! The degree of joy we experience in the Redeemer Master, varies from time to time, and from person to person

It may be an ecstatic joy that thrills you through and through, that makes you want to shout and sing and to tell everyone about what the Redeemer has done for you

It may, on the other hand, be a deep, calm, joyous assurance that causes you to sit quietly in worship of Elohim (God)

The joy is real in both cases

Yes, the joy is real, and while it abides in our spirit, and is experienced through our soul and emotions, we need to remember that our emotions and feelings change

So we should not rely upon our feelings to give us the assurance of the Redeemer Master’s Presence, and His love and salvation

As believers we may be more aware of the joy of the Master on certain days, and not on other days

But we are called to walk by FAITH, trusting the Redeemer Master, and not to go by our feelings

If one day you do not feel elated and filled with joy, does that mean the Master has left you, or that you have lost something? No, of course not! It is simply that your feelings are “off-line,” or in “low gear” at the time

YAHWEH’S Word has not changed, has it? No! His promise has not changed! His salvation has not been revoked! There is no need to be afraid because you don’t have good feelings today

You have not renounced your Saviour, have you? No! Your decision to follow Him is still very much in force, and your relationship to Him remains secure

Always remember: Your salvation does not depend upon your feelings, but on the Word and the promises of YAHWEH the Eternal One

A NEW PURPOSE

No doubt you are discovering that you now have a new purpose to live for

Your vision is changing

Many things that seemed so important to you before, have now lost their attraction

You are beginning to see that the things of the world are temporary - and that there is an eternity ahead of you

As you climb further up the Way, you begin to understand the things of the Redeemer Master more deeply

You realize that you have become a part of YAHWEH’S great plan - His eternal purpose

The Father's purpose in creating us was to make us His sons and daughters, so that we might bring pleasure and satisfaction to Him, and that we might enjoy His life and love for ever

Yes, YAHWEH our Elohim (God) created us for Himself

The Scripture is clear:

“Master, You are worthy to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because You created all things, and through Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11) [Col 1:16-17] This is a thrilling reality, and the understanding of it, will greatly enlarge our vision, and lead us to NEW BEHAVIOUR.
