REGISTRATION

Prior to surgery, all patients are required to complete an admission form that includes the crucial preadmission health questionnaire. The foundation for your medical record is this document. You have a choice between two methods for signing up:
Fill out the papers your doctor's office sends you, or
Online registration is the preferred way for PREADMIT.
Find out how to register efficiently by speaking with your doctor's office. Please make sure we get this info at least five days before you're supposed to show up at the hospital. An expert registered nurse will review the data you provide for us. Prior to the date of your procedure, we will be in touch with you to ask you some extra questions.

RECEPTION

Wyndham Reception

Your first point of contact is with us. Prior to admission, our receptionist will verify that all required paperwork and consents have been signed. Should you have any out of pocket expenses you will be required to pay these prior to being admitted. Additionally, you will be asked who will drive you home and take care of you for the following 24 hours after your anaesthesia.

ADMISSIONS

The admissions nurse will get in touch with you the day before to make sure we have all the medical data we need to admit you. The admission nurse will lead you to the dressing room on the day of your procedure so you may change into a theatre gown. Additionally, she will review your medical history once more and perform weight and blood pressure checks. Then, before your procedure starts, you will have a chance to meet with your surgeon and anaesthetist in the admitting waiting area. You will need to go without eating or drinking for six to eight hours before your scheduled surgery in order to prepare. When you contact for a pre-admission appointment, our clinical team will check the required minimum fasting period. A strict policy regarding the maximum patient BMI score is in place at Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital. All patients at Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital who have a BMI index score of 45 or higher cannot receive surgical care. If you think your BMI index score may be higher than this, please discuss your options with our nursing staff when you call for a pre-admission appointment.

RECOVERY

wyndham-clinic-Recovery

After your surgery, you will awaken here. A nurse will be by your side as you enter recovery to keep an eye on your development. When you are well enough and your nurse is satisfied with your development, you will be transferred to one of the recliners. You will be served food and drink at this location. Inform the nurse if you have any particular dietary requirements so that your needs can be accommodated. The nurse will contact your carer to come pick you up once you've had something to eat and drink and are feeling well enough. The nurse will now give you your discharge instructions, which will outline what you may and cannot do, as well as any follow-up appointments.
