Another Axiom's action game Gorilla Tag will require physical exertion from its participants. You play as a gorilla that will pursue other players around a jungle playground. The game features three accessible modes and a straightforward gameplay.
The game Gorilla Tag is designed for virtual reality. You will utilize a unique means of locomotion that requires arm and hand movement. However, VR equipment will be required. However, do not fret. Launching the game in desktop mode will allow you to play without a VR headset.
Gorilla Tag is a game of tag, as its name suggests. All individuals, however, are gravity-defying primates who scale the environment. The objective of this game is to survive with the limbs that existence has given you despite infection. One player is infected and entrusted with spreading the infection by tagging other players. The remaining players will have to evade getting tagged and infected.
Three modes are available. Casual mode is more of a social game that allows you to practice, meet new people, and socialize. In infection mode, the objective is to infect as many players as feasible. Last but not least, the hunt mode allows you to hunt a monkey by glancing at your wristwatch. You can create a private room with your peers or hang out in a virtual, low-resolution jungle with strangers.
Despite the simplicity of the mechanics, mastery of the movements is necessary. There are no buttons, no controllers, and no teleportation. You will move your body to navigate the virtual environment. Even then, precise timing is necessary. Obviously, you can launch the game in desktop mode if you do not wish to engage in the full-body workout that the VR mode offers. This also eliminates the need for a virtual reality headgear.
