THE BEGNNING OF THE WAY PT 7
EXPERIENCING MESSIAH/CHRIST, THE WAY
One of the most well-known statements of the Master Yahshua Messiah/Christ is His words to Thomas:
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no-one comes to the Father, except through Me.” (John 14:6) The Heavenly Father is revealed in the original, Elohim (God)-breathed Hebrew Scriptures, by the Name of "YAHWEH." This is His everlasting Name Exodus 3:15
The meaning of the Name has to do with His eternal existence
YAHWEH is the "Great I AM," The Eternal One
The more you study the Scriptures, the more you get to know the Master, and the more you realize that Yeshua Messiah/Christ is indeed, THE WAY
He is absolutely unique
He does not merely show us the way or teach us about the way - HE IS THE WAY
Likewise, He is the Life
He not only gives eternal life, but HE IS LIFE
The Beginning of our faith is Messiah/Christ
He is also the End - the goal of our faith
“I am the Alpha and Omega - the A and the Z, the Beginning and the End - says YAHWEH the Master , who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8) “… fixing our eyes on Yahshua, the Author of the Faith and the One who completes and perfects our faith.” (Hebrews 12: 2) Yahshua Messiah is also the Centre of our very life, if we belong to Him
This is a precious and vital truth that I want you to understand through this lesson
I pray that our Father will reveal it to you in all its simplicity and power
In the book of Colossians we read some important words concerning this “mystery”: “… to whom YAHWEH Elohim has chosen to make known among the Gentile nations, the glorious riches of this mystery, which is
Messiah in you, the hope of glory, whom we proclaim, warning every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect, mature and complete in the Messiah.” Colossians 1:27, 28
“For in Him (the Messiah) all the fullness of the Eternal Deity - all the fullness of what YAHWEH is - dwells in bodily form, and in union with Him - Yahshua, who is the Head over all power and authority - you have been made complete.” (Colossians 2: 9, 10) “For you have died, and your life is now hidden with the Messiah in Elohim (God)
When the Messiah, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” (Colossians 3: 3, 4) The “mystery” is that MESSIAH/ CHRIST IS OUR LIFE, and He LIVES WITHIN US, and wants to LIVE OUT HIS LIFE, THROUGH US
(We are referring here, of course, to born again believers.) This is not imagination, but a fact
It has awesome implications
All the fullness of Elohim dwells in Messiah/Christ - and Messiah lives within us
He is not a Elohim “way up there in the sky,” but the Almighty Elohim living within us
It is by YAHWEH'S Spirit that Messiah lives in us
(In our next lesson we will study “The Holy Spirit.” more fully.) If Elohim lives within us, then He is the resource for our every need
If we need wisdom, He is within us
If we need strength, He is within us
But not only is He there to supply our needs; He is there to take control of us, and to make us a dwelling place on earth for His glory
We - frail creatures that we are - are vessels to bear the Life, the Personality and the Glory of Elohim
The more you think about this, the more you see how tremendous it is
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of YAHWEH and not from ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 4:7) Now if Messiah/Christ is in us - and He is the “hope of glory” - then let us restate our beliefs, or rather, the Bible teaching about the Person of Yahshua Messiah/Christ:
