Gazing At The Setting Sun, Awaiting A New Tomorrow

When we look at the setting sun, there is a feeling of sadness that sinks within us. Enough of the negativity. Let’s await a new tomorrow.

Have you ever felt as though your happiness is futile? That all of your labor is for nothing? The harsh reality of life is that light is temporary. And as time goes on, the more you acknowledge this pattern of life, there is a morbid discomfort that sinks in.

When you find yourself cherishing life’s joys’, there is a voice inside your head that goes, “It’s only temporary.” How does one lead a happy life if they know everything is fleeting?

The answer is closer is closer than you think.

Why do we look at the setting sun, thinking about the moments that have passed, instead of looking forward to the inevitable sunrise that will greet us?

The truth is, if you are going through a hard time in life, don't feel disheartened about what you have lost; instead, look at all that you have gained in the process. Each hardship teaches us resilience, giving us the strength to face the challenges of tomorrow. As the days pass by, you become wiser, a step closer to your potential.

If we switch our perspective and look forward to the tomorrow that awaits us and see the glass half-full, everything falls into place.

This is, however, easier said than done.

It is difficult to focus on the positives, especially living in a world ravaged by political turmoil and disunity around. There is one book that can serve as a worthy companion, instilling a sense of hope for a new tomorrow.

Tomorrow, by R. Ira Porterfield, pens a book dedicated to all those who are suffering the repercussions of the various societal hardships that surround us. In particular, the poems mentioned in the book are dedicated to the courage and vision to fight the scourge crossing America as we know it.

Tomorrow by R. Ira Porterfield.
