May you get ready to stand up and speak to others the words He commands you, not allowing yourself to be terrified by those who worship what their hands have made, or He will terrify you before them, for He has made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, a bronze wall, to stand against all, rich or poor, educated or not, weak or strong, who turn away from God's ways and fight against you, but you have the Lord's promise that they will not overcome you, for He is with you and will rescue you. Jeremiah 1
May you recall your first devotion to the Lord, how you loved to obediently follow Him wherever He led you, and continue therein with that devotion, to become holy to the Lord, the first-fruits of His harvest, so that He will cause all who come against you to be overtaken by disaster. Jeremiah 2
May you always ask, “Where is the Lord Who sought me, saving me from my sins, redeeming my life through His grace, and doing mighty deeds by His powerful mercy,” seeking God's face daily to remind Him of His promises, and recall for yourself His goodness, that you may walk ever in a freshness of devotion and love for your King and Savior. Jeremiah 2
May you consider and realize how blessed and sweet it is for you when you worship the Lord your God and walk in the reverent awe of, and the respectful obedience to, the Lord Almighty, for He will bring you to drink from His spring of living water, and never allow you to become plunder, driving away the threats that would steal and spoil the blessings He has given you. Jeremiah 2
May you keep your face to the Lord, never turning away, but watching as a servant for the slightest signal of your Master's hand, to be immediately obedient to the will of your beloved Owner, embracing the restrictions and boundaries placed for your safety, learning the protocols and methods of honoring your Lord, submitting and yielding to the purifying and cleansing that prepares you for service in His household after dwelling outside in the wild, so that you may leave behind the former shame and never feel disgrace as you live and work henceforth in His service. Jeremiah 2
My child, as you learn of My word, learn of Me. As you read the scriptures, let them point you to Me. Let the Spirit of God reveal Me, the life-giver, in the passages and from the pages, lest all you have at the end is a perfect memory of a dead letter by which you would minister death through anger and disdain.
Let your seeking in My word bring your heart to an overwhelming understanding of the compassion and mercy I have for you—a revelation of My desire for you—that softens your heart and turns your feet toward Me until you cannot halt the flow of praise and thanksgiving from your innermost being, streaming unchecked from your mouth, your hands, your choices, your conversation, your dealings with other people.
As you grasp the enormity of the depth and width and height and breadth of the value I place on you, My beloved, I want you to know first-hand how much I cherish the next person, as well. I would have you to see in them, no matter what they have said or done to you or yours, as they have done to Me and Mine, the eternal value I have placed on them. That is what causes Me to pursue them though they reject Me time and again.
You are My joy, My dear one, for your rejection of My gift has ended, and you have accepted My sin-removing grace and My life-altering love; they, too, may repent and be rescued when I send you to them.
Do not turn from My assignment or pre-sentence them to doom.
May you rejoice in the Lord always, and I say it again, rejoice, letting your gentleness be evident to all, for the Lord is near and you have no need to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, for the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4
May you put into practice whatever you have learned or received or heard from, or seen in, those who have shared God's truth with you as you think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy, so that the God of peace may be with you. Philippians 4
May you learn the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want, remaining steadfast and obedient to the Lord whether you have need or abundance, for you can do everything through the Lord Who gives you strength, and He will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4
May you give thanks to God, for His Name is near, and tell of His wonderful deeds, for it is He Who chooses the appointed time and judges rightly, holding the pillars of the earth firm when the world and all its people quake. Psalm 75
May you forever declare that it is God Who judges, bringing one down and exalting another for He will cut off the power of all the wicked but the strength of the righteous will be lifted up, and they will sing praise with you to the God of Jacob. Psalm 75
May you not rejoice with your lips when the person who hates you stumbles, and do not let your heart be glad when your obnoxious neighbor is in distress, but meet their needs in God's love and show His compassionate mercy in their distress, for the Lord is more concerned with shaping your spirit than punishing your enemy. Proverbs 24:17-18
