This website is a photo gallery of the Language Pack artcam 2008 portugues. The language pack was created by Andy Frank and uses the Blender 3D software to create the photo set, consisting of more than 250 images (about 200 of which were made with computer graphics) and more than 10 hours of video.The following text is taken from the introduction to the layout: There�s something about this page that makes it curiously refreshing. It�s like an extravagant, slightly ridiculous spritz out on a hot summer day (did anyone say anything about art and summer?). It�s like fireworks, or a secret handshake, or even like watching your favorite team win the big game (and if you know me well enough you�ll know that I would never be referring to any sports match). It has something to do with breaking down barriers and flying high, but at the same time it makes perfect sense.It�s about an artist having fun, taking risks and doing what he does best. It�s like saying �yes� to life at its best... at the same time it speaks about life�s little additions that make us tick. It�s about fitting in, not fitting in and then fitting in again. It�s about crossing borders, ignoring rules and getting totally twisted on its head.It�s about perfect timing, love for someone dear, respect for everything else out there � and the will to share it all with you this Sunday morning. The project was launched on July 3, 2008, at 10:00 GMT on the official website of artcam 2008. This launch was performed simultaneously with an unconnected project of Blender 3D language packs (3D models of objects that can be animated). The website was created by Andy Frank (Andy�s World).This project was created with the only purpose to show the world the capabilities of Blender 3D. It is an art project without any commercial purpose. The layout design for artcam 2008 was made by Andy Frank, who donated it for this project.The language pack consists of 1.7GB worth of data, which includes 250 images, 10 hours of video and 740MB worth of sounds. These are stored on 463 DVD�s which are stored in 12 boxes. The layout is stored on the following servers:The 500GB hard drive is stored in a fire safe at Andy�s art studio.

The computer graphics were made by Andy Frank. Together, he and his partner Janneke van der Wal (who studied 3D animation at the Utrecht School of Arts) created this language pack for artcam 2008. All video footage was created using Blender 3D software (using this electronic lab simulation to shoot some footage). Andy Frank performed all shooting, editing and production of the DVD�s, while Janneke van der Wal performed all camera work and computer graphics. Together they designed the website.
