Yom Teruah “Yom Ha Zikkaron” Yo'el 2:1

Yom Teruah “Yom Ha Zikkaron”

While the other appointed feasts are given a name, this feast has no real title. It is simply "Yom Teruah" – the Day of Blowing (Bamidbar ~ Numbers 29:1). It is actually a festival centered on the blowing of the shofar as the distinguishing feature of the day, which calls us to attention in fear and reverence of HaShem’s holiness and sovereignty in preparation and warning of His coming judgment, which is on Yom Kippur.

As such it is a yearly "trumpet call", an awakening blast of the shofar which foreshadows the call to His elect to prepare themselves so that they will not come into judgment with the rest of the world when He comes to establish His kingdom upon this earth. It is also called “Yom Ha Zikkaron” (the day of remembrance - Wayiqra, Leviticus 23:24). It is a memorial of the day of creation when the morning stars sang together and shouted for joy at His handiwork in creation (Job 38: 7).

In Beresheit ~ Genesis 1: 1, the word Beresheit, “in the beginning,” when changed around, reads Aleph b’ Tishri, or “on the first of Tishri.” Therefore it is also known as the birthday of the world, Yom HaDat Olam. It is also on this day, The first man, Adawm was created, who brought sin into the world, and it is also the day Yeshua was born, for by one man sin was brought into the world, and by another Man, Yeshua, sin was atoned for.

Now why bring all of this out and what does this Feast represent? Well, it is the sounding of the shofar of course, but what else? The Rapture of the Church! In Matityahu 24:31 we read: And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Now, who is the Elect? Yisrael. You see, Yeshua was not referring to the Church here, as a matter of fact, it was not till Shavuot or Pentecost that the Church was born. Matityahu 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13 all refer to Yeshua’ second advent and not the Church, Period.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Shabbat, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation, Wayiqra, Leviticus 23:24.

It comes before the beginning of the civil year Rosh Hashanah, It is also known as Yom HaKeseh (Day of Concealment), because it falls on the first day of the month and it's advent awaits the appearance of the new moon, so the 'hour and the day' of its arrival is not known in advance. The day no man knows, sound familiar? In this manner it typifies the coming of the heavenly Bridegroom for His Bride who has spiritually prepared herself to be ready for the occasion, without spot or blemish. Matityahu ~ Matthew 24:36; 25: 1-13; Revelation 19: 6b-8.

I wanted to share with you, it is written: You shall have… a reminder by the sounding of the Shofar trumpets, a Holy convocation, Rosh Hashanah or the Feast of Trumpets. And you may have noticed that the Holy days of Yisrael appear in one form or another in the Brit Chadash or New Covenant, except for one, want to guess which one? That’s right, the Feast of Trumpets.. Now, you may have a question here and I would be surprised if you didn’t? So why is this Feast not mentioned? The day no man knows...

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed, 1 Corinthians, 15:52.

When in the sacred Hebrew year does the Feast of Trumpets take place, at the beginning or the end? If you said at the end, then you are correct! At the end. So as you can see then its mystery does not focus on the beginning of the age, but at the end. The Feast of Trumpets announces the closing of the sacred cycle. So too it will announce the closing of the age. What age would that be? The Church age.

So what is it we see in The Holy Writ when you look at the prophecies concerning the end of the age? Shofar or Trumpets. The sound of the Shofar was a wakeup call if you will. So it is foretold that when the Trumpets sound, the Dead in Mashiach Yeshua will be awoken.

For the Elohim himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of G_d: and the dead in Mashiach shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Elohim in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Elohim, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

With all of the aforementioned, I have done that many post, that many notes and yet it is still a contentious point between Believers in Yeshua, why? In the real Estate business it is called location, location… location, with this it is Context, context, and context! One of the original arguments against a pre-tribulation Rapture is the quoting of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4. It begins: Let no man deceive you by any means: For that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called Elohim, or that is worshipped; so that he as G_d sitteth in the temple of G_d showing Himself that he is G_d.

For many this always seemed as case closed. In their minds there was no need to look any further as this said everything they needed to hear. Here is the thing, this single quote would literally shut down the discussion, and trust me, and I’ve seen this here many times. And for the record my Chaverim, 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is not the Rapture, it is the day of The Elohim, if you doubt me on this, I would offer verse 2 as definitive proof, in fact, let’s review all three together along with verses 1 and 5 to establish context, context, context. Now we beseech you brethren, by the coming of our Elohim Yeshua Mashiach, and by the gathering unto him….Stop right there for a minute… That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by the word, nor by letter as from us, as the day of Mashiach is at hand. Stop again…Let no man deceive you by any means. For that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth above all that is called G_d, or that is worshipped; so that He as G_d sitteth in the Temple of G_d, shewing himself that he is G_d. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Now for some Historical context, a false letter had arrived at the Church of Thessaloniki that claimed to be penned by Rav Sha’ul or the Great Apostle Paul, and that the rapture had already occurred and that the Tribulation, (Day of the Elohim) had begun. So as you might expect, the Church was afraid that they had missed the Rapture, by the way, you would be too receiving this news. I will do more post on this as time permits, but suffice it to say, The Rapture of the Church is a real event and it will happen Prior to the Tribulation…The day no man knows, Yom Teruah..
