We were gifted a whole cow, we just had to butcher it from start to finish. Linde and Sean are finishing the last of the work today. We're very grateful!

Spent the morning cleaning out my nasal passages πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I processed 3 pounds of horseradish root. I made 1/2 pound into simple prepared horseradish with a little salt and vinegar which we can use to make creamy horseradish later; and the rest I preserved in ACV for use in making fire cider later as gifts for friends. Peeling and shredding 3 pounds of horseradish felt like experiencing the off-gassing of my hubby's clothing after he spent the day manning gas chamber. πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ #homesteading #preparedness #herbs #naturalhealth

What do your animals like to munch on that you try to keep them out of?
