Satan's rule doomed to failure

"With evil . . . it will not end well at all" (PRED. 8:13).

1 Why is it comforting to know that the wicked are called to account?

Earlier or later the wicked will be called to account and will have to answer for their deeds (Pr 5:22; Ecc 8:12, 13). This is a comforting thought especially for those who love justice and suffer from today's injustice and evil. The author of all the wickedness in the world is Satan, the devil. He will be called to account as the chief culprit (John 8:44).

2 Why did God allow time when his way of governing was questioned?

2 It was with pride and arrogance that Satan in Eden led our first parents to reject Jehovah's way of government. They joined the devil in questioning Jehovah's right to rule over men. (Romans 5:12-14) This made them sinners in the eyes of God. Jehovah knew, of course, that their disrespectful and rebellious behavior would inevitably lead to disaster. But all rational creatures should be able to see this clearly. Therefore, God allowed time. It should be proven beyond doubt that the rebels were absolutely wrong.

3. what is our attitude towards the governments of men?

3 Since people rejected the rule of Jehovah, they had to devise their own forms of government. In his letter to the Christians in Rome, the apostle Paul referred to human governments as the "authorities of the people. At that time, these were primarily the Roman government under Emperor Nero (54-68 CE). As Paul wrote, such governments "stand in their relative positions as ordained by God. (Read Romans 13:1, 2.) Was he implying that human governments were superior to the rule of God? Of course not. He simply meant that as long as Jehovah would tolerate human rule, Christians should respect "God's order" and obey the rulers.

An aberration with catastrophic consequences

4 Why will the rule of men certainly fail?

4 The dominion of man, influenced by Satan, will certainly fail. Why? Among other things, because it is not based on God's wisdom. Only Jehovah has perfect wisdom. (Jer. 8:9; Rom. 16:27) He is the only one who knows how to guide others correctly. People often have to go through a lot of trial and error to find the right way. Jehovah, however, always knows the best solution. Any government that does not follow him cannot be nearly as good as his. For this reason alone, the alternative form of government offered by Satan, the rule of man, was doomed to failure from the outset, not to mention Satan's evil motives.

5, 6 What apparently led Satan to turn against Jehovah?

5 No reasonable man would attack something that was doomed to failure from the beginning. Anyone who tries, however, must sooner or later admit his mistake. Human history is full of evidence that it is pointless to stand against the Almighty Creator. (Read Proverbs 21:30.) But Satan, blinded by arrogance and pride, turned against Jehovah. He embarked on an erroneous path that would inevitably lead to disaster.

6 Satan's presumptuous nature is well expressed in the words of a Babylonian ruler who boasted, "To the heavens will I ascend. Above the stars of God I will exalt my throne, and I will sit down on the mount of meeting in the remotest parts of the north. I will ascend above the cloud heights; I will make myself like the Most High" (Is. 14:13-15). This ruler failed with his senseless plan. The Babylonian dynasty came to an inglorious end. Satan and his world are also on the verge of destruction.

Why allowed?

7, 8 What are the good effects of Jehovah's decision to allow evil for a time?

7 Some people may wonder why Jehovah did not prevent people from taking Satan's side and trying an alternative form of government that was doomed to failure anyway. (Exodus 6:3) This would certainly not have been a problem for Almighty God. But he did not intervene. In his wisdom, he decided to tolerate the rebellion of the people for some time, because that would be best in the long run. Ultimately, it would confirm that Jehovah is a just and loving ruler. His decision would be beneficial to God-fearing people

Ephesians chapter 5: "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of all this the wrath of God strikes disobedient people.
7 Have therefore nothing in common with them. 8 For before you were darkness, but now you are light in connection with the Lord. Live on as children of light, 9 for the fruit of light consists of every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth. 10 Always make sure what is acceptable to the Lord, 11 and no longer take part in the fruitless works which are part of darkness. Rather, uncover what they are. 12 For what they do in secret is too shameful to even mention. 13 Now all that is revealed is revealed by light, for all that is revealed is light. 14 Therefore it says, "Wake up, sleepy one, and rise from the dead, and the Christ will shine on you. 15 Pay close attention therefore to how you live, not as unwise men, but as wise men, 16 and make the best of your time, for times are bad. 17 Therefore no longer be unreasonable, but keep trying to discern what is the will of Jehovah. 18 Neither get drunk with wine, which leads to debauchery, but always be filled with the Spirit.

Dear friends, brothers and sisters - why do I post something about the Bible every day ??? Because it is 15 seconds to 12 o'clock. Jesus said in Matthew 24: 42-44: "So stay alert, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 One thing is clear: If the owner of the house knows at what time* the thief is coming, then he will stay awake and not let him break in. 44 Therefore, you also be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect him. We Sons of Thunder are the Special Force of our King Jesus Christ and we know Q's task according to the Bible. The angels are currently holding a gleaning under the Q movement before the great tribulation foretold by Jesus in Matthew 24:21 begins. Because there are still some people there who sincerely seek the truth. Such people in turn seek the angels. But soon the train has departed. I have worked out for myself ALL that there is to do: From a good relationship with our creator to a food supply for about 6 months. Furthermore I know at least 3 water sources within one kilometer distance. I also know what it means to put on the armor of God. ( Q had already pointed out at least 14 times that this is important.) So - if you want to be among the gentle people mentioned in Zephaniah 2:3 who are looking for justice and are likely to be saved - then follow what I post carefully. That is all I can do for you. As mentioned - the great tribulation, which culminates in God's Day of Judgement, is already at hand. May Jehovah bless and protect you. Your son of thunder.

When will God's Kingdom reign over the earth?

Some faithful followers of Jesus wanted to know when God's kingdom will come into power. However, Jesus did not give them an exact time (Acts 1:6, 7). However, he had given them clues earlier: He had spoken of certain events that would all occur together. (Luke 21:31) This would help his followers realize that "God's kingdom is near" and will soon reign over the earth.

Jesus said: "One nation will rise against another and one country against another. There will be great earthquakes, and in one region after another, food shortages and epidemics" (Luke 21:10, 11). Similar to the lines of a fingerprint, these features together form a distinctive sign. They clearly mark the time when "God's kingdom is near. Did the events mentioned above occur together and can they be observed worldwide?

Jets, a tank and rockets.
In 1914 a war broke out such as never before in human history - the First World War. Historians therefore often describe the year 1914 as a turning point in history. For the first time, tanks, aerial bombs, machine guns, poison gas and other deadly weapons were used on a large scale. The Second World War followed shortly after, during which the first atomic bombs were used. Since 1914 there has always been war somewhere on earth. These wars have claimed millions of lives.

An earthquake causes buildings to collapse.
Every year, according to Britannica Academic, there are about 100 earthquakes large enough to cause devastating damage. The US Earthquake Surveyor USGS writes: "According to long-term records (since about 190, 16 major earthquakes are expected each year. Some scientists attribute the rising number of earthquakes to better detection technologies. However, the fact is that major earthquakes cause suffering and death worldwide on an unprecedented scale.

A graph shows a decline in grain production.
As a result of war, corruption, economic crises, mismanagement in agriculture or lack of preparation for extreme weather conditions, food shortages are occurring worldwide. According to a 2018 report by the World Food Programme, 821 million people worldwide are starving, 124 million of whom are threatened with starvation. Malnutrition contributes to the death of over 3 million children every year. In 2011, this was about 45 percent of all deaths among children worldwide.

Symbols for biochemical hazards and bacteria.
A publication of the World Health Organization (WHO) states: "The 21st century is already characterized by devastating epidemics. Old diseases like cholera, plague and yellow fever are on the rise again and new ones are appearing: SARS, pandemic influenza, MERS, Ebola and Zika". Although medicine has made enormous progress, it cannot cure many diseases.

Jesus pointed out another feature of the sign: "The good news of the kingdom will be made known throughout the inhabited earth as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14). In the midst of today's chaotic world, about 8 million people of various origins proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. They preach in 240 countries and territories in over 1,000 languages. This is unique in the history of mankind.

The characteristics that form the sign can be observed today. Why should we be interested? Because Jesus said: "So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that God's Kingdom is near" (Luke 21:31).
