Shop local stores and buy more cast iron pans and other cast iron cookware items as your see them over the next few months. The more cast iron cookware items that you have the more versatile your cooking options are for your household.

Also buy some cast iron cookbooks as well, those will be extremely helpful for your households as the harder times approach. Start getting more cast iron pans and set up a mini shelf in your kitchens filled with various cookbooks, canning books, cast iron cooking books and so forth, books are priceless folks, if you have them in your household you cans use them any time that you need them.
There are some good cast iron recipe cookbooks out there, make sure you buy some cast iron cookbooks (buy used if you can find them, or new books.) and add them to your kitchen along with any other cookbooks that you may have in your household.
I would strongly recommend that people start up a household library shelving unit, and put cookbooks, canning books, and baking books on it. This way when harder times hit your area, your household will a great resource of books... so you can feed your family different food items that you are able to cook from those cookbooks.

If you do not have any cast iron cooking pans, I strongly suggest that you get at least a minimum of one 10"cast iron pan and lid for it as well for your household.
By having a minimum of at one of these cast iron pan, you will have the ability to cook outside on wood if you have cook a meal for your household, cast iron is extremely versatile for cooking inside and outside... be it on your stove or on a campfire and/or a fire pit.
If you can afford to buy some different pieces of cast iron pans and various cookware, then do so. Cast iron cookware is a great resource to have in any household, it is a good American kitchen basic to have, and many other countries use cast iron cookware as well.
Also check out their recipe section on their web site, and print out the recipes, or buy one of their recipe books... and keep the recipes and various cookbooks handy in your kitchen.
It is always a good idea to buy used cookbooks and keep them in your kitchen, cook books are a great resource to have in any household.

I strongly suggest that you buy your household some cast iron pans and other cast iron cookware, and ditch all of those cancer causing teflon coated pans.
As harder times approach... cast iron will give your household the ability to cook inside your house, on an open fire in a fire pit, or on a camp stove.
Cast iron cookware is extremely versatile and better for your health.
Buy used cast iron pans as you see them at second hand stores, estate sales, and as you see them on sale in local stores.
Prepare your household for the coming harder times, and replace all of your cookware with cast iron, stainless steel and enamel cookware.
