I am looking for a Facebook alternative that does not censor conservative views, yet also respects the fact that respectful nonconservative dialogue has value as well. Additionally, if I have family and friends who are not as conservative as me, I would like a place where we all can feel welcome.
I am not sensing that here at this point. The posts at the top of my page are consistently of the "Facebook is evil", "we're not evil like Facebook", "people who stay with Facebook are supporting evil", type which is not inviting to a majority of people. A great many, perhaps most, of my friends would not likely feel welcome with that sort of introduction every time they log in.
That may be the intent here, which is fine. It just won't likely be my solution. I will check back from time to time to see if I think it might be a better fit in the future. For now, probably not.
Just to be sure that there is no misunderstanding, I will put my conservative values up against anyone else's, so it is not a matter of me being a liberal who just doesn't like your existence. I just thought you might welcome the feedback.
