Your state legislator has the ability to help reform Washington, D.C. with support of the Convention of States legislation.
Will your state legislators give up their right to call a convention of the states? Right now, the Republicans in the Kansas House of Representatives are proposing a rule that requires a super majority 2/3rd vote (84) to pass a resolution to join the Convention of States effort. Every other state in the union requires a simple majority to exercise this right found in the United States Constitution. In Kansas, a simple majority is 63 votes, and if this rule is adopted, the Kansas House of Representatives will be turning their back on you. The Kansas Senate has no rule, and is ready to stand tall and get this Convention of States passed, having Kansas on board with Oklahoma, Texas, and Missouri that have already passed the resolution.

There is no time to waste, as a restrictive proposal will be adopted if we let them.
