Saul Becomes Paul, Lies Become Truth – Word Of Encouragement

Philippians 3:10-11 KJV 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Paul did not always see Jesus as someone worthy to be known. Paul came from a background filled with honorary heritage. He followed the law and trusted in his own righteousness. Also, he had great accomplishments under his belt at a young age (Galatians 1:14, Philippians 3:7-9). So he knew and understood who Jesus claimed to be. He considered Jesus claims to be heresy. This caused him to hunt and kill believers (Acts 9:1-2).

But that all changed when he had a face to face with Christ. The facts, or external, of this encounter can be found in Acts 9. What we find in Philippians 3 is what happened on the inside of Paul.

Where Is God When I Need Him Most

Where is God is a question that has been asked throughout the ages. It is another way of asking, Why God!

We at some point in our walk with the Lord will become acquainted with suffering. And will be tempted to ask, where are you God? This question enters the heart of young to old. Because everyone suffers. How do we answer this question? Well, we can not answer this apart from faith.

Embrace God’s Love – Word Of Encouragement

1 John 3:1-2 KJV Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Behold, the Holy Spirit says. Look at the very way God loved us. Seek to see the depth and richness of God’s love for and toward us. We especially, at this time, need to focus on who we were when God loved us. It is eye opening to pray to know the true meaning of God’s love for us.

Scripture describes God’s love beautifully in many places. But these verses say so much.

Why Did Jesus Come?

Why did Jesus come to earth? He came to be the propitiation for our sins and the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). Through His death on the cross He made the way for people to be right with God (John 14:6).

We have many bible studies to help us understand why Jesus came to earth. And to know who Jesus is. As a believer in Jesus Christ we are to progressively come to a deeper understanding of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:19, 21). Do We Love Jesus or Not, 1 John 2 --- God continues to tell us to take sin seriously and do not sin. But we know we still sin. So, Chapter 2 of 1 John gives us the solution to our sin problem. The chapter begins with who Jesus is, our Advocate. Why He is our Advocate, the Righteous. And How He became our Advocate, “He Himself is the propitiation for our sins.” We confess our sins so that through the blood of Jesus Christ we are cleansed of our sins.

Jesus showed us through His death how we are to love God and others. Loving other believers shows the world we are children of God. Loving the world shows the love of God is not in us.
