Bonner County Sheriff Office is seeking information into the murder of a local man.
On Thursday, Dec. 10, BCSO received a report of a possible body alongside a road in the Upper Pack River area. Bonner County detectives responded and recovered the body of an unknown deceased male. Monday, the male was positively identified as Brandon Vern Hurst, 38, of Sandpoint/ Bonners Ferry.
Hurst’s body had been dumped after he had been shot multiple times. Evidentiary items recovered from the scene, as well as from the body, are being processed for prints and DNA.
