Obadiah’s Cave: What stops the Left’s Music?
“If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up. Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.” (Daniel 3:17-19)
Right now we are witnessing the intense anger of those who have the idol of State in their heart. Indeed whenever we do not dance to their tune of political correctness, their angst know no bounds! Like Zeus, they toss thunderbolts from their cable news Olympus when anyone dares to not bow down to their diety. Satan is still the “prince of the power of the air.” Many of the cable news networks are his seat of power.
Jesus, Himself, was subject to the same indignity. “He that has ears to hear, let him hear. But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like to children sitting in the markets, and calling to their fellows, And saying, We have piped to you, and you have not danced; we have mourned to you, and you have not lamented.” (Matthew 11:15-17) He was slandered and misquoted in a never ending attempt by the powers that be to discredit Him. Yes, political manipulation of the news has been around long before George Orwell identified it. It has always been the Modus Operandi of the same clique that sent Jesus Christ to the Cross.
What stops the music? Our job is to resist the evil and not to bow down. To the elites that demand worship, this stops the festivities in that they need execute those responsible to interrupting orchestrated “March of the Lemmings into Hell.” There must be boldness for those who proclaim the truth and uncover the violation of God’s law for all to see. There also needs to be a conviction that holds truth more dear than life. What stops the music, however, is the advent of the active agency of God. He shows up! With His appearance, the fire’s power to destroy is annulled and the ruler’s narcissistic nature is arrested. The same king Nebuchadnezzar went from praising his idol to praising God. In Daniel Chapter Four he is thoroughly humbled and converted after a period in which he simply lost his mind.
Is the left losing it’s mind? They certainly are. Humility is just over the horizon as the LORD will be true to His promise of intervention. So we all petitioned for this yesterday. Of course the fire is going to be heated up even more by the godless devotees to their own power. Presumed godhood does not just surrender! However, all this does is make the survival and thriving of the righteous a more compelling miracle. Jesus Christ is able to save even as the idol of State burns up its own minions.
