I used to think retirement was an age - 65 to be exact. I thought it just happened; everyone just gets to stop working and relax, spend more time with the kids and family, ???? go on vacations, volunteer when they want, and get to explore the world the last 20 years of their life.
Wasn’t until later that I realized only the people that invested for their future and had passive income coming in got to really retire. ? Everyone else had to work til the day they died - unless they had someone to take care of them.
Also, after hearing many different business and investment stories, I realized people are retiring a lot sooner than 65. Some are retiring at 55, some at 45, and some even at 35. I realized retirement wasn’t an age, but a lifestyle earned by making proper investment decisions throughout one’s life. And the earlier we begin investing, the earlier we can enjoy the fruits of our labor. ?
I don’t really think life is all about relaxation. But it’s sure great to have the net worth to be able to relax when you want and pursue whatever your calling is and not be constrained by lack of funds. ?
So when do you want to retire? And what are you doing to make that a possibility? ? ✈️ ?
