University of Southern Cal fans who pushed for the canning of head football coach Clay Helton which just happened but want Gavin Newsom retained as California governor have a much higher standard for a head coach than they do for a governor. Clay Helton's win record wasn't as great as some head coaches of the past at that school, but his record as a head football coach is much better than Gavin Newsom's as governor.
