I Choose
Secular person: I want to do X.
Christian: You’re free to do that.
Secular person: But you think X is Wrong!
Christian: Yes, I do.
Secular person: Because you want to control me!
Christian: No, you are free to do whatever you want.
Secular person: But you think X is wrong!!
Christian: Yes, because God has said it is wrong.
Secular person: But I want to do X!!!
Christian: You are free to do that if you choose to.
Secular person: But I want you to say that X is good!!!
Christian: I can’t do that.
Secular person: You’re judging me!!
Christian: I don’t have the authority to do that.
Secular person: Right, nobody does!!!!!
Christian: God does. Only he has that authority. But why do you care? If you don’t believe in God, why do you feel guilty for wanting to do X?
Secular person: I DON’T feel guilty!!! I just want you to accept me!!!
Christian: I do! In fact, I love you! But God set the standards that I live by.
Secular person: You are narrow mined and demeaning!!! I hate you and everyone like you!!!!!!
Christian: That is ok. Still your choice, I choose to love you like God did. He gave his only begotten Son so that you can be forgiven for all that you do.
