Four states in the western United States have bills in the state legislature to go to year round standard time. Some other states are also considering going to year round standard time. If, you prefer year round standard time to the current biannual clock changes, and you live in a state that still switches clocks you should write to your state legislators and recommend to support going to year round standard time. If, Washington state passes year round standard time, Oregon and the Pacific Time part of Idaho will likely join Washington state. The Washington state bill would switch our state to year round Pacific Daylight Time (Mountain Standard Time) if federal law were changed to allow this. I prefer year round Pacific Standard Time since 12:O0 PM PST is within a half hour of local mean time in the entire state of Washington.
