As you know by now, I talk a lot about how America needs more conservatives in office who will actually dare to govern like conservatives.

Weak conservative leadership is a real problem—both at the national level and in numerous states across the country. It’s one of the reasons why I believe iVoterGuide’s mission is so crucial in the 2024 election.

But I’ll be honest. Even I didn’t realize just how shockingly weak so much of our conservative leadership has truly become until recently.

How bad has it gotten?

It’s gotten so bad that some blue states are more conservative than red states.

That may sound impossible, but it’s true.

According to a recent study by the Daily Wire, even though red states by definition enjoy a majority of conservatives elected to power—these majorities often fail to do their job of voting in conservative policies.

In fact, they fail so miserably that some conservatives in blue state legislatures have more conservative voting scores than their counterparts in red states.

This alarming reality has been dubbed by one author as the “fake red state dilemma”—where states are called “red” by virtue of their conservative majorities, but don’t actually function like red states at all.

I couldn’t agree more. In fact, I’ll take it a step further . . .

I believe we are living in the middle of a “fake red state” epidemic.

As a faithful friend of iVoterGuide, Christopher, you know we’ve called attention to this problem for years.

We’ve been fighting to end this epidemic by equipping faith-based voters with the resources to replace weak, counterfeit conservatives with strong, committed conservatives. And we’ve succeeded in hundreds of cases!

But the fact is . . . this is a deep and pervasive issue.

Just take Wyoming, for example. On the surface, it’s one of the “reddest” states in the entire country. Trump won the state by a whopping 43.3 points in 2020. Democrats haven’t won a presidential contest there since 1964. Republicans control 90 percent of the state legislature.

And what did conservatives do with all that power?

FAILED to pass a bill that would have defined men and women and forbidden men from entering women’s restrooms
FAILED to pass a bill that would have stopped Meta/Facebook’s notoriously Left-leaning “Zuckerbucks” from influencing elections
FAILED to pass a bill that would have granted parents greater oversight of their children’s health records
FAILED to pass a bill that would have required the legislature’s approval for any public health emergency declared by the governor
FAILED to pass a bill that would have expanded school choice
That’s an astonishing record for such a supposedly conservative state—and they’re FAR from the only state to follow this pattern.

So how are we going to stop this pattern? How are we going to stop the “fake red state” epidemic?

By providing guidance on the issues most important to faith-based voters so they can elect better leaders in the primaries.

We’ve been fighting this battle to equip voters for years, but we must get more aggressive if we want to move the needle in 2024.

If voters are going to shift their state leadership from fake conservatives to fearless conservatives in the 2024 primaries, they need iVoterGuide’s full arsenal of candidate information as soon as possible.

That’s why I’m asking for your support today as we kick off our “90 Days to Move the Needle” primary election campaign this month.

We need to reach our goal of raising $120,000 by June 30 in order to fully fund our primary election voter guides in all 50 states.

Your support right now is crucial to this effort. Your gift will equip us to:

Cover HUNDREDS of primary races from the federal level all the way down to counties, districts, and school boards across the country
Research THOUSANDS of candidates to uncover the truth about how conservative their track record really is
Deliver our guides to MILLIONS of faith-based voters in all 50 states—including critical Hispanic voters through our new Spanish resources
The majority of state primaries are still yet to occur, and faith-based voters are desperately looking for reliable election guidance so that they can prevent their states from falling prey to the “fake red state” epidemic.
