The object lesson about the Fig Tree - Hypocrisy or Fruitfulness
As a thoughtful disciple, we must surely ask ourselves is this tree symbolic of me? Am I fruitless? Am I like the tree Jesus encountered that tree had a whole bunch of leaves, it looked good, but in reality, it had no fruit. Is it symbolic of my house? My church? Is it symbolic of America?
