What a great day! I started the day with a Zoom prayer meeting from 9 to 10 hosted by Faith Wins featuring pastors and evangelists from across America reading Scripture and praying. What a blessing to be able to watch some of the events live, listen to some of the speeches, watch the motorcades, see the various people arriving in the Capitol, and enjoy listening to the various military bands and choral groups perform. I thought, while watching President Trump and Vice President Vance being sworn in how much we prayed for this day and for the safety of these two men over the last year. President Trump’s first speech as the 47th President of the United States of America was great but his second speech, after watching Biden’s helicopter depart, to a gathering of supporters in the lower level of the Capitol was even better. Four years ago I was suffering from COVID and barely made it through the Inauguration itself. Today, however, I was able to watch off and on all day as President Trump met supporters at the Capitol One Arena in leu of the traditional outdoor parade, signed Executive Orders, all the way up to his appearance at several of the Inauguration balls that were held late into the night. Thank you Jesus for your safety and protection over today's events!
