Please read Psalms 76,77 and answer the following questions.

1. Read Psalm 76 and summarize its theme. What had God done that caused Him to be great and well known – 76:1-4?

2. What had happened to God’s enemies – 76:5,6?

3. What reasons are given in 76:7-9 why God should be feared?

4. Application: Since God is so awesome among His enemies, what should people do – 76:10-12? What lessons should we learn?

5. Read Psalm 77 and summarize its theme. List some expressions in 77:1-4 that describe the psalmist’s troubles.

6. What did he remember and think about when he was in trouble – 77:5,6?

7. What concerned the psalmist about the conduct of God – 77:7-9?

8. To deal with his concerns, what did he decide to do – 77:10-12?

9. What particular works of God did he think about – 77:13-15?

10. List some works God did according to 77:16-20.

11. Application: What should we learn from the psalmist’s approach to his problems? What are some things that would be good for us to think about when our faith struggles?
