A Facebook group I'm in called Firmament Trackers held a worldwide simultaneous moon experiment: All around the world people would photograph the moon simultaneously. Many places were too cloudy but we did get simultaneous photographs of the moon in Austria, and in Melbourne, Australia. That is not possible on a globe earth.
