Taking into consideration the fact that the core element in electronic house is the form, this genre predominantly is aimed at transferring emotions. More rarely it transfers emotions and conception of lyrics.
Such emphasis on the influence on the emotional level of the audience is realized through the structure of electro house music. Currently, electro house is characterized by 4/4 beats and tempo of normal house. Other salient features are riffs of different length, minimum to medium number of percussion and strong basslines. In contrast to tech house, which has many similar features, electro house may involve abrasive synth and vocal or instrumental songs. One of the most prominent peculiarities of electronic house is the use of “Drops.” Drops are means which are utilized to make the music progress “fairly slowly and then all of a sudden…drop into a powerful, unpredictable beat” (A Thorough Guide to Electro House Music). Usually, the tempo is from 128 to 130 BPM. As a result of such combination of different features, electro house music produces four-on-the-floor rhythm (one bass drum is hit on every beat) which is an inevitable and the greatest part (90 per cent) dance and club music.
