If you thought a 37 minute Elden Ring speedrun was the quickest time ever recorded for FromSoftware's latest Souls-like, consider changing your mind. That fast run was just knocked out of Elden Ring Runes the water by a run that took less than 30 minutes to complete that has my head turning in a rage of jealousy. What's most interesting about this time, but, is the fact that it was run by noted Souls speedrunner Distortion2. The same person who smashed Demon's Souls on PS5 in under 20 minutes . He also ran that ridiculous 37-minute Elden Run speedrun.

It's important to note that this is the fifth "Any percent" speedrun uploaded to YouTube with the only aim was to finish the game as quickly as it was possible. Distortion2 has been tearing through FromSoft's action role-playing title since it was released on February 25. Their most recent time measured 28 minutes and 29 seconds which supplants the previously set world records. That's just bonkers!

This run was less than 30 minutes. Distortion2 wisely applied the wrong warp glitch, that causes you to be in an alternative, more secure spot after you save and close the game. After choosing this Samurai in addition to the Fanged Imp Ashes keepsake, a summon that calls forth two imp spirits that aid in combat, Distortion2 started the run by jumping off the cliff to avoid the obligatory death of the Grafted Scion boss at the beginning. From the point, it's a regular speedrun distortion2 weaving from Limgrave through The Gatefront Site of Grace and unlocking Torrent the horse, occasionally using the wrong warp glitch to reset enemies that are aggressive before reappearing at the closest Site of Grace for safer travel. With the ethereal stable, Distortion2 zipped around the Lands Between, hitting some rest spots and ignoring just about everything else such as good items and tough bosses.

Distortion2 did use The Four Belfries, an area in Liurnia of the Lakes where you can move across the map in a flash and the final half of the game consisted of a lotta platforming in Elden Ring Runes for sale treacherous areas, such as Volcano Manor, the Crumbling Farum Azula or Volcano Manor. It was an efficient way, as shown by the game's sub-30-minute speed.
