For I know

Romans 7:18--20 NKJV

18. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells: for to will is present with me, but how to perform that is good I do not find.
19. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.
20. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

In America we are again seeing a spike in corona-virus cases. Now some of it is happening because America is doing more testing, which in return will show up more cases. America also had protest. And one thing you should have noticed that social distancing wasn't followed. Now some protesters wore masks but others didn't. Which in return could also be the reason for the spike in virus cases being shown.

And wearing a mask could be consider a thorn in our flesh, because it is hard to breathe good. Now we know that wearing a mask is a good thing, because it does help in stopping the spread of this virus. For one reason or another some people will not wear a mask. It even got the point that a website was creating to sell "face mask exempt cards". Of course that website was taken down, because what they were saying was not true.

As Christians we know that we should do what is good, but it is the sin nature that is present, that we do not do it. So we need to keep reaching out to the Lord to help us fight this thorn in the flesh, (corona-virus) and do the right things; social distance, wear a mask, and wash our hands as much as possible. And with the Lord's help we will beat this virus.

God Bless,

America's Thorn In The Flesh

Luke 15:17 NKJV

17. But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger.'"

The above verse comes from the parable of the lost son.

America's thorn in the flesh is this corona-virus. At first we didn't think that it would end up as it has. All we knew at first was that it got it's start in China. And China had shut down the infected area. But did let people not from that area let them leave.

It wasn't until America started to see a lot of people getting affected and people dying did America acted and closed up our country. Then put in social distancing, and stay at home orders, and having nonessential business closed.

This thorn in the flesh that America has to deal with as caused a lot of distress and hardships. Not knowing how they are going to buy groceries and other essential things they need to have to survive this virus. Just like the son in the parable who spent his money foolishly and decided that it would be better to go back home.

The most important essential thing that is need is the Lord. So Churches also closed their doors to in door services, but a few didn't and got ridiculed for doing so. But a lot of churches went to doing live-streaming their services and some started drive-in services although some government officials tried to stop those. But the courts did step in and they were allowed.

For us that have our own thorn in the flesh, now had to deal with America's thorn in the flesh. But we have an edge, because we know that the only way to deal with a thorn in the flesh is to turn our thorn in the flesh over to the Lord. As the son went back to his father, we have returned back to our Father which is in heaven.

Have A Blessed Day,

The True Vine

John 15:1--2 NKJV

1. "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit."

As this coronia-virus is really starting to spread around the world. People are starting to get afraid and are letting fear come into their lives not knowing when it will go away so things can get back to somewhat a normal life. With losing their jobs they are not sure how they will live, because they need money to buy groceries and other necessary items to live.

With Christ being the true vine and His Father being the vinedresser, we know that He will remove the fear, stress away from us and give in return peace and comfort in helping us to deal with this thorn in the flesh situation.

John 15:4--5 NKJV

4. "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."
5. " I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.'

As we abide in Christ, He will abide in us. And together we will be able to overcome the fear and worry that this thorn in the flesh is giving us.

Have A Blessed Day,

Why Are You Afraid?

Mark 4:35--40 NASB

35. On that day, when evening came, He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side."
36. Leaving the crowd, they too Him along with them in the boat, just a He was; and other boats were with Him.
37. And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.
38. Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?'
39. And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still." and the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.
40. And He said the them "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?'

Right now the world's thorn in the flesh is the coronal-virus. People are getting sick and passing away from it. And people are getting fearful, stressed, worrying, and just afraid. There are stay at home orders being put n place, because there is a need of social distancing. People are afraid because they feel afraid that they are powerless.

Like this world's thorn in the flesh, and our own thorn in the flesh, we are not powerless, because we have Christ on our side. Just like Christ rebuked the wind and the sea, He tells us 'Hush, be still' That He is with us and will give us the peace and comfort to be able to get through this world's thorn in the flesh and our own thorn in the flesh.

Christ said; "Why are you afraid? Do you still have not faith?" So we need not to be afraid but have faith in Him.

Shalom

Imagine That He Knows and Understands

1 Corinthians 8:2 Amp. Bible

2. If anyone imagines that he knows and understands anything [of divine matters, without love], he has not yet known as he ought to know.

In dealing with our thorn in the flesh, we need to know one thing, that we can not do it by ourselves. We need rely on the Lord and His healing power to overcome it.

America's thorn in the flesh right now is the corona-virus. And it was nice to see that Vice-President started his committee on how we need to handle things started by prayer. And of course he was criticized for doing it. But is only by prayer and the Lord that we will be able to overcome this virus.

The one mistake that we can make in trying to deal with our thorn in the flesh, is to think that we somehow understand it and can fix it on our own. A thorn in the flesh isn't a simple fix, it takes the Lord to be able to help us deal with it. And what we might try just probably will make it worse than better.

John 3:16 Amp. Bible

16. For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.

So it is only by the Lord's love for us that we will be able to deal whatever our thorn in the flesh might be.

Shalom,
