Started making a few more Hook and Ring stands today.
I was able to cut out and sand more 3 stands and their scoring blocks, as well as I started painting them.
Tomorrow morning I will paint the other sides and touch up paint the stands that I painted this afternoon, then by tomorrow afternoon I will try to start clear coating them.
I'm trying to get Hook and Ring stands done as I can for a craft fair this coming October, so whatever I can make now during the late Spring/Summer I can hopefully sell in the Fall. (Otherwise many friends are gonna get them as Christmas gifts if they do not sell.)

I was able to get some free scrap wood I saw posted on cl, I will use this wood to make up a few wooden gift items for friends.
I'm thinking about making some dice rolling trays for Yahtzee/other dice games... and using some of the wood to make a few more Hook and Ring stands.
With today's high inflation and it only getting worse, you have to be savvy on how you spend your money to stretch out your money as best as you can.

Many people enjoy wood working, it is a good hobby, some people can make a living doing it, others do it as added income if they can sell items, others do it as a skilled trade to can use it barter with. (They make something for someone, and someone else uses their trade skills to help out the person who made them something out of wood.)

Even if you do not make a living with creating things out of wood... as long as you enjoy wood working, it is always a good hobby, and hobbies are always good to have.

So get creative, use scrap woods if you have to... but there are plenty of cool things you can craft out of wood.
Perhaps you can make some cool wooden items and give those away for birthday and holiday gifts, it will help you save money and what ever you make will be a unique gift item... for that person to cherish.

Made a wooden board game tray with some felt inside the tray area for a friend.
My friend as a glass table top and rolling dice gets kinda loud on a glass table top.
So this will keep it more quiet and makes it easier to slide the board game to player to who many be able to reach their player pawn.
(This board game tray will be useful on game nights, not all board games fit inside this tray, but most of them do. It really depends on the board game size.)
I also added felt furniture feet on the bottom side of the board game tray as well so it allows for the board game tray to slide and to keep the screw heads off of the table.
The bottom of this board game tray is made of thin Masonite board, so I was not able to countersink the screwheads like I do on plywood tray bottoms.

About

I enjoy making wooden wall hanging decoration boards and other various items out of wood. This page shows the wooden items that I make, and can make.
I only make items for local purchases and I only take cash for items that I make and sell.
