Open my ears, God, to hear Your voice speaking to me from Scripture today. I don’t want to just settle for easy answers. I don’t want to just read the Bible in a way that makes me feel good. I want to give You continual, constant permission to interrupt and rearrange my life.

Give me passion as I read to take seriously the truth of what I am reading. Help me resist the temptation to put Your words into my head without letting them change my heart and my actions. I confess that knowledge about You isn’t enough. I need a life transformation. Please show me how the Scripture I’m reading is meant to transform the way I inhabit my world. Amen and amen!

“He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10 NKJV).

Like gold being processed by the refiner, Job trusted God to bring out the best in him. Was it easy to do? No.

Position yourself in faith: “Stand still and see the [deliverance] of the Lord, who is with you.” Whatever you are going through right now, remember that God is “with you.”

OH Lord, teach us to pray, Let us begin to pray and God will move. We repent of our sins. Fill us with the Holy Spirit. Refresh us again. Restore us again. Revive us again. We seek your face, O' God. Pray that we be one with the Father, one with the Son and one with the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name - Amen.
