For a while now I keep hearing about "Christian Nationalism."

This is after almost never hearing that phrase for most of my life.

What I want to know is this: WHY has this been coming up in recent years?

I am assuming that somebody wrote a book or an article that stirred up the issue.

I am guessing it was a book or article AGAINST the idea that stirred up the discussion because what I hear about it is almost always NEGATIVE.

Who can tell me WHY it is an issue in recent years and WHO or WHAT brought the controversy to the forefront?
