Only with your kind indulgence:
I started working in the family garden when I was four. I started helping with the harvest when I was five. I started preparing food for canning when I was six. I started trapping and fishing when I was seven. We were hard scrabble dirt poor. Dad bought flour, meal and dairy for food, but not much. We ate what we raised and stored. Meat was from hunting and fishing. We used the smoke house year around. Money was extremely precious. There are very few of us left raised like my family raised us.
We desperately need a country full of those with the work ethic and value systems, we learned growing up. My siblings and I made it out of that life by the values we learned being raised in that life. These are the ones we need to put into public office. Elections have consequences. The Decalogue is right. Think about it.
