Depending on the route he takes, I think Trump very possibly could win this. It's not so much a "private" versus "Public" debate, it's a matter of these various platforms agreeing to the terms of Section 230.

According to the terms of Section 230, the government protects these platforms in order to assure freedom of speech within some legal restraints. Primarily Section 230 protects platforms from liability of their clients' posts. Because of that, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, any of them, never had any reason at all to censure "misleading" posts, or even have fact-checkers at all. That completely undermines the rules of Section 230. If they are willing to completely ignore the terms of Section 230, then it can be argued they are not protected by Section 230. Enter Trump's lawsuit. If he can prove they infringed his government protected right to free speech, he has a massive lawsuit against every one of them. And, not only that, every user that has been censored in any way has as well. And the beauty of all this Zuckerberg et al went to DC a year ago to argue how desperately they had to have Section 230 kept in place. And thanks to Nancy Pelosi, it still is.
