My Bible Verse of The Day - 5-31-25

Psalm 34:17 (NKJV) 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.

Many times, helping others can be an inconvenience for us.

It can take up our time, when we could be getting other things done. It can take away from something we might rather be doing.

It can even throw us off our routine or schedule, causing us to become aggravated or frustrated throughout the day.

We all feel this at times. We are not perfect, and we probably get frustrated even with ourselves for feeling like this.

But let’s face it; we are human and sometimes we just get tired. Then we start thinking, “let so and so do it, they never help, they always get out of it.”

I remember a time when I was in “helping mode season.” I love helping, but it was starting to get to me. I was getting tired and burned out from it all. So my attitude started to change and I was overwhelmed with the amount of help I was giving out.

I prayed to God, “please bring in some help for me. I’m tired and my attitude is changing toward the person/people that I’m helping, and I don’t want to take it out on them. It’s not their fault.”

He heard my cry and delivered me from that situation.

God showed me that it was OK to rest. It was OK to trust Him to bring in the right person or people to help.

And I learned a big lesson; don’t wait until you get to the point of feeling burned out.

Ask Him for help, and He will provide.

He is faithful!

My Bible Verse of The Day - 5-30-25

Matthew 11:28-29 (LS 28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

As I was doing some things around the house this morning. I clearly heard the words of God being poured into my spirit that He wanted me to share with others.

There was an urgency in the prompting, so I wrote it down as quickly as possible.

Here is what He said;

“Stop chasing after the things of the world that bring no peace, no rest, and no contentment.

Chasing after satisfaction in the world will wear you out. It will burn you out. And it will disappoint you in every possible way, at every turn.

Pursue Me! I am the source of life, the source of peace, And the source of true contentment.

Come, and find your rest in Me.”

This is a message of enormous relevance and timeliness.

There are so many who are busy, running here and there, chasing things that do nothing but suck the life from them.

And when the day is over, this chasing has left them exhausted and without satisfaction or contentment.

If this is you, receive God’s words. Hear His message and heed His instructions.

Consider the things you are pursuing. Weigh them, and count the cost, the price that you pay in this pursuit.

And lay these things at the feet of God, surrendering yourself to Him, that He may give you the peace, satisfaction and contentment you have pursued so vigorously in the things of the world.

Matthew 11:30 (LS 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

My Bible Verse of The Day - 5-29-25

Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV) 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Remembering for Whom, and why we do what we do will make it easy on us through this life.

Let’s be honest. If we did things just for the person we work for, would we really give it our all, all the time? Would we not slack off at times when we are tired or they may not be watching?

I remember working for a company years ago. My desk was right next to my boss’s desk.

He would sometimes leave for many days, and if I was the kind of person that would only work hard when he was watching, having him gone so often could have made it really easy for me to be a good slacker while he was gone.

But I was a Christian, and he knew it. What kind of example would I have been showing or setting if I worked hard only when he was there?

When you are working as unto the Lord, whether your boss is around or not should make no difference. You work hard. You do your best, and you do it as if you are doing unto the Lord.

It’s not really about who is watching at that point. It’s about what our Father in heaven is seeing us do.

I remember very clearly, this same boss had me come into his office one day, and he said to me, “I don’t understand or can’t quite figure you out. You amaze me in the work you do!

I loved to hear those words because I knew in my heart it was not me. He was seeing God’s integrity, honesty and dedication working through me.

That is the most awesome compliment, when an unbeliever sees that in us. It’s more then a paycheck from week to week. It’s better than any promotion we can earn. It’s more than any employer or job can offer us.

Work hard. Be honest. Be diligent on that job. God is watching, and He will reward you. Amen.

My Bible Verse of The Day - 5-28-25

Daniel 2:21 (LS 21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.

It has become very apparent over the years that the recognition and understanding of the absolute sovereignty of God has been lost to most believers.

It is hard to know when this started happening. But it has happened!

It is quite possible that it has truly been happening for centuries; perhaps even from the beginning of time.

This is obvious in the struggles for power that we witness as history repeats itself again and again.

Treachery is nothing new. It has been happening since man was first created and placed on the earth.

But as man has drawn further from God in the last several decades, it is easy to see that there is little to no understanding of God’s absolute power.

Political struggles ensue and seem to take surprising twists and turns. But none of this surprises God or catches Him off guard.

His word teaches us that, just as He is the one who changes the seasons, He is also the One who raises up kings and removes them.

And you might ask why He does this? Why does He allow kings who are evil? Why does He do the things that seem to be so hard for us to understand?

The answer is simple, yet truly profound and mind-numbing; for His glory.

As we see the constant shuffling of global kings and leaders, the seasons of war or famine, seasons of peace and plenty, it gives us the opportunity to see evil at play, and righteousness battling that evil.

It gives us the opportunity to recognize God’s hand at work.

The question is, do we? Do we recognize Him at work in all this seeming chaos?

This is a question we should ponder, and one we should seek answers for.

And those answers can be found in His word; our handbook for life.

He never leaves us without answers or understanding. We must seek it out.

And when we seek Him, we will find Him if we seek Him with all our heart.

Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV) 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

My Bible Verse of The Day - 5-27-25

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

If we are praying to God about our life, and putting these things that trouble us in His hands, we don’t need to be worrying. We don’t need to be anxious.

The scripture above speaks clearly as to what we should be doing.

We need to be thanking Him! That’s right, giving Him thanks.

Why?

Because if we truly believe and have faith in His answer for us, then He is taking care of it as soon as we lift it up to Him in prayer. Praise be to God!

It’s up to us whether we let Him in to help us in whatever area we need it, or we try and do it on our own.

He hears our prayers or requests, and then He begins moving toward making things right for us in whatever we may be praying for.

If we have already laid it down at His feet, then let His peace and understanding guard our heart and mind while He sees it through and directs our steps. Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
