End Daylight Saving Time

I had to put clocks back on Pacific Daylight Time because all of the churches in my area put their schedules on that when on daylight saving time even though it is not our natural time. Maybe it is an interpretation of Romans 13:1-7 which tells every soul to be subject to the governing authorities. I am running my main clock on my laptop and tablets on UTC. I also have my main clock on my shortwave radio on UTC. On my laptop, I have my main clock on UTC and another clock with the America/Los Angeles setting which displays the government sanctioned time in the Pacific Time Zone in the USA.

I did post this message to a permaDST group on Facebook. It is being reviewed and it might not be published because of controversial comments. Here is the post
"If permaDST is passed I would rather have schools start an hour later which would really be the same time as it would start under standard time. Sure there would be opposition to a later start because if the school day length were the same there would be an hour less of daylight after school during the historic DST period. But, I would favor cutting the school day by one hour and eliminate pushing indoctrination of unproven dogma such as evolution and critical race theory. There'd still be plenty of time to teach important subjects."

On Sunday, March 30 at 01.00 UTC, most of Europe is going to Summer Time which is what they call Daylight Saving TIme. Most Europeans will be setting clocks forward one hour which do not automatically go forward an hour. The greater fatigue for day shift workers will be hitting Europe just so they can have an extra hour of daylight after work or school. Belarus, Russia, and Turkey do not change clocks. There has been talk of ending the time changes, but so far it has not happened.

I do recommend that people in some public safety jobs, keep their clocks on government time even when it is different from nautical time. Many of those people do not have the time to make the mental adjustments between government time and nautical time. However, the rest of us can keep our clocks on year round standard time, or year round nautical time as in some places this is different, such as Amarillo, Texas and Boise, Idaho.

On Sunday, March 9, 2024 at 2:O0 AM local standard time most of the continental United States, Canada, all of Cuba and Baja California Norte, Mexico and Mexican communities bordering New Mexico and Texas will be going to daylight saving time. We are to either set our clocks forward an hour or move our schedules back an hour earlier for events taking place in areas which change clocks. Arizona outside of Navajo Nation, most of Saskatchewan, Yukon and some other parts of Canada will not be changing clocks. This means that most of America will have mean solar noon close to 1:O0 PM. Many people will be fatigued having to go to work or school an hour earlier each morning. The Alaska Time Zone will be observing Lake Tahoe Mean Time. The Pacific Time Zone will have to observe Denver Mean Time. Denver will be observing New Orleans Mean TIme. New Orleans will be observing Far Northeast Philadelphia Mean Time. Philadelphia will be observing Manaus Mean Time. At least, Manaus will be observing its own mean time, because Brazil no longer observes daylight saving time. The Atlantic Time Zone in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and part of Labrador will be observing Barreiras, Brazil Mean Time. Newfoundland will be observing Campo do Brito, Brazil Mean Time even though Campo do Brito observes a time 30 minutes behind their local mean time year round.
