First planting of 2021: Mad Hatter Pepper!
Great news for you gardening fans... ALL NINE of my pepper plants have now officially survived the first freeze where I didn't close the greenhouse! I saw this beauty at Home Depot and thought I'd try it.. go to plant it in the Orange Bell Pepper's pot.. nope, it had a leaf at the base of stem.. tried the Green Bell Pepper's pot.. it had 4 leaves! Can't say I'm upset about that at all! I did repurpose the tomato pot, now the only official tragedy of the first freeze! (The door and vents are all closed, and the heater may be set out there now.) In other news, I have 9 jalapeños coming along nicely!
