We Will Stand Before Nations
October 19, 2020
11 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” Luke 12:11.
There is no doubt that if you are in a leadership position, you will stand before authorities in this present chaos because Jesus Himself said that we would. I know personally that I have debated whether to keep my opinions to myself about what is going on in this nation, but after searching God’s heart on what he wants me to do, I know that it is my role as a Christian leader to speak out. I’ve recently read that it is thought that only 3% of the population will be bold enough to stand as leaders in the crisis we are in. I am praying for a triple portion of boldness so that I will be strong enough to do so. Just as Mordecai pressed Esther, so God is pressing us “for such a time as this.”
“Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Substituting Jews out for Christians, I know by this example from the life of Esther that this is the time for leadership to be ready to be brought before those in authority to witness for the Kingdom. Three percent is a small number, so if you are in that three percent, we must ready ourselves. I actually feel the boldness to do so as each day goes by, and now I don’t worry about being grilled by those in authority. If you feel that Jesus is mantling you with leadership, ask Jesus for whatever quality you are weak in, and He will give it to you. If He has put this calling on your heart, He will give you the tools needed to carry out your purpose. For the Father says in Joshua 1:5, “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So be ready, but don’t worry!
