Time to open if you own a business. And....Businesses are now starting to open!
According to the law (which is very clear), A State Of Emergency can only be allowed and/or extended by the Congress of Michigan (the Legislative branch), not the executive Branch (never by the Governor). It was clearly ended the last day of April by the Legislative branch.
If it was the opposite, a Governor could hold Power indefinitely & (so could a President) by simply suspending elections on his or her whims or fears. Therefore, as of May 1, 2020, All Executive orders are rescinded per Michigan law.
