Time to re-read "Common Sense," not for what it meant back then but for what it means today.

So does anyone here actually PRACTICE free speech, or do they just post pictures of pretty words and congratulate themselves on being patriotic? In the last two days I've had multiple comments deleted by multiple people when all I did was offer a conversation. Isn't silencing each other exactly what we came here to oppose? What is going on on this site?

I wrote this years ago in a different context, before kneeling for the anthem was a thing. Someone reminded me of it again yesterday when re-posting it in light of current events.
