Deuteronomy 6:1
These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has instructed me to teach you to follow in the land that you are about to enter and possess, 2 so that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged.

Deuteronomy 4:9
Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves, so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen, and so that they do not slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and grandchildren.

Deuteronomy 6:7
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

Isaiah 54:13
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

My Thoughts on Currents Events

In Matthew 24: 3-7 the disciples ask Jesus "What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. See Also Luke 21:7-11, Luke 21:21-28

When we see these things taking place, we need to remember that the Lord told us about them in advance. HIS WORD IS TRUE! He told us to stand firm and not be troubled about those things that would happen.

We who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour don't have to be troubled by the things which go on in this world, for we have the hope of everlasting life. God said these troubles and sorrows would come, but He also said to get our mind on heaven and heavenly things. We must prepare to stand, rather than to fret and worry. We want to be found ready and watching on that day. Look past all the things that are happening. Look past all of the headlines. Don't allow your heart to be troubled by them. KEEP YOUR EYES FIXED ON JESUS!

I've been amazed at the things which have happened in recent years. I try to put events in line with Bible prophecies. I take note of the news the same way I would look at my calendar, to see what day it is. You know, as you look at the events of the world today, it tells you what time it is. It's getting late! The events which have taken place certainly show us the distressing time we are living in. But let's not wring our hands in despair. Let's not look at the times in wonderment and fear. These are shaking events and they certainly say something to us. Let's get ourselves in line with the coming of the Lord, to where we will take the Word of God to heart. Then we won't be troubled by any of the things that happen.

We should be able look for His coming, without worrying or fretting about what will happen next. I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
Remember, nothing is going to happen without God allowing it to happen. He is still on His throne. In God's province and plan, He has a purpose in everything that happens. Thus, through the shaking events which are taking place in the world today, many are waking up to the realization that they need Jesus Christ and that is GOOD NEWS!
Pray that this new crisis will open the eyes of the lost to see Jesus. Amen

This is a true story about young Teddy Roosevelt:

“Mittie (Teddy's mother) had found he was so afraid of their church that he refused to set foot inside if alone.

He was terrified, she discovered, of something called the ‘zeal.’

It was crouched in the dark corners of the church ready to jump at him, he said.

When she asked what a zeal might be, he said he was not sure, but thought it was probably a large animal like an alligator or a dragon. He had heard the minister read about if from the Bible.

Using a concordance, she read him those passages containing the word ZEAL until suddenly, very excited, he told her to stop. The line was from the Book of John 2:17: “And his disciples remembered that it was written, ‘The ZEAL of thine house hath eaten me up.”’

People are still justifiably afraid to come near the “zeal” of the Lord, for they are perfectly aware it could “eat them up” if they aren’t one of His. Our Lord is good, but He isn’t safe.

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry on account of these the wrath of God is coming.

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

Pray for President Putin today.
“This may sound like a strange request, but we need to pray that God would work in his heart so that war could be avoided at all cost,” Graham, the president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, wrote on Facebook and Twitter Friday.

Father, we praise your holy name. Give wisdom to the leaders involved in these talks and negotiations, as well as those advising them. We pray for Putin to pull back his troops in Jesus's name. We pray for God's Divine intervention today in Putin's office and between Ukraine and Russia. We pray for God to send His angel armies to keep the peace and block the way of invasion. O Lord, please open Putin’s eyes that he may see the armies of the Lord and back away. Please God remove the global hate and anger that is driving war like behaviors. The fear of the Lord is a great thing for people's memory. In Jesus Name. Amen

2 King 6:13-17 On receiving the report, “Elisha is in Dothan,” the king of Aram sent horses, chariots, and a great army. They went there by night and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early in the morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city.

So he asked Elisha, “Oh, my master, what are we to do?” “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
