PRESIDENT TRUMP -- THE NEW AMERICAN LION
President Trump is the modern day American Lion -- Teddy Roosevelt. Both men were loved and hated in their day. They took on the establishment in DC and across the country -- including members of their own party. They were larger than life figures who reshaped American politics in their own image. In fact, they reshaped America in their own image.
They were bold, brash, given to exaggeration. They said what they thought and meant what they said. They didn't hide their emotions.
President Roosevelt was literally shot in the chest in Buffalo, New York in an assassination attempt and went on to make a two hour speech BEFORE going to the hospital.
President Trump defeated Covid in less than a week and was back out on the campaign trail with up to 5 and 6 rallies across the country a day.
Teddy Roosevelt was subjected to ridicule and derision by his political opponents. He lost an election to a do-nothing, caretaker William Howard Taft. Then came back and almost won re-election as a third party candidate.
My guess is strongly that we haven't seen the last of President no matter how this election finally shakes out.
I expect the rumors of TrumpTV will prove true. And I also expect he will start a new social media platform for conservatives. And I fully expect there WILL be a Trump on the Republican ticket in 2024.

Take a moment and step back from your anti-Trumpism. Let's look at this issue absent the names.
Suppose the US had a president that did the following:
A. Built the nation's economy to levels unseen since the 1950s.
B. Rebuilt the nation's military and was removing us from our foreign wars.
C. Imposed tariffs on China to allow our native industrial capacity to rebuild.
D. Pushed Europe to assume greater financial responsibility for its own defense.
E. Refocused the nation on taking care of its own issues and stepping back from the role of the world's policeman.
F. etc.
Now, suppose Russia and China had the long-term goal of destabilizing America and reducing its economic power.
Would it not make sense for them to stoke anger and distrust among Americans by interfering in the election process -- not only through social media manipulation BUT by demonizing the president and our political institutions?
Would it not also make sense for them to stoke the distrust and anger between Americans and Euro allies by manipulating public opinion against that president?
