"The nation of Palestine . . . doesn’t exist. Many people erroneously believe that Palestine is, or once was, a uniform country with a government, borders, and all the trappings of a legitimate state. The truth is, however, that Palestine is historically a region containing many disparate peoples. Today, there exists a pseudo-state ruled by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). This entity was a literal creation of Soviet intelligence and has served world communism’s interests ever since. . . .
"The communists deliberately play both sides of every fight. They worm their way into Israel through mafia infiltration, internal subversion in politics and society, and official diplomatic relations, but they also fund, arm, and defend Hamas and the PLO. Iran is often considered the chief sponsor of Palestinian terrorism. But who is Iran’s chief sponsor? Russia. Just as Palestine is headed by a KGB-trained agent, Iran’s supreme leader was trained in the Soviet Union by the KGB. China has also drawn very close to Iran in recent days. Any Iranian efforts in Palestine must, therefore, be seen as part of a broader agenda in the communist world revolution.
"In his important book Red Start Over Jerusalem: Communist-Islamist-Arab Conquest Plans for Israel, author Nevin Gussack wrote of the early Soviet interest in Palestine:
"“The Soviet connection to Palestinian terrorism stretched as far back as the late 1920s. Moscow viewed the ethnic and religious cleavages between the Jews and Muslims in Palestine as a conflict that could hasten the weakening of British colonialism and to strengthen anti-Western forces.”
"As I’ve copiously emphasized, communists operates via the tactic “divide and conquer.” They search for natural “cleavages” between groups and then endeavor to prevent understanding and resolution. Where old wounds exist, they pour salt in them and constantly remind both sides of the past. They harp on grievances no matter how bygone or trivial. Anything that can be used to divide people – religion, political affiliation, social status, wealth, work hours, gender, race, sexual preferences, etc. – is used to sow discord, create confusion, and breed animosity. Communists are the lords of chaos and their efforts to conquer the Middle East are no different. . . .
"The first and most influential Soviet-selected leader of the PLO was Yasser Arafat. Contrary to public perception, Arafat was not even Palestinian. He was an Egyptian. Soviet intelligence created phony identification papers and birth certificates for him, alleging his connection to Palestine. But it was widely known at the time that Arafat wasn’t a Palestinian, but a Soviet plant.
"The same Soviet defector cited earlier, General Ion Mihai Pacepa of Romania, explained:
"“To an informed eye, the secret conversion of the Hezbollah operative Muhammad Mansour into the Egyptian Sami Shehab looks just like the KGB creation of the PLO chairman Yasser Arafat—but in reverse. The KGB, when I was still connected with it, went to great lengths to transform an Egyptian-born Marxist, Mohammed Yasser Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini, nom de guerre Abu Ammar, into a Palestinian-born Yasser Arafat. It took the KGB—and my DIE—many years to endow Arafat with a credible Palestinian birth certificate and other identity documents, to build him a new past, and to train him at the KGB Balashikha special-operations training school east of Moscow. But as Andropov said, it was worth every minute. In 1994, the KGB-born-and-trained Arafat was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Yet in 2002 alone, there were a recorded 13,494 incidents of terrorism against Israelis, committed by Arafat’s PLO. More than six hundred civilians had lost their lives. Six months later, the number of Israeli civilians killed by Arafat’s “martyrs” passed seven hundred. . . .""
