The highest point on this trek is Mardi Himal Base Camp, which sits at 4,500 meters (14,763 feet). I went slowly to avoid altitude problems, and I was fine. Along the way, I saw beautiful views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. The sunrise from the High Camp was my favorite part—I still remember how the sky turned orange and the peaks glowed like gold.
