What I dislike the most about standing for the oppressed, helping those with addiction, caring for the orphans, is you only find more of the same. It is easy to get overwhelmed and quitting may seem a reasonable response. However, 2 Thes 3:13 tells us "As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good." Sometimes easier said than done.
