4 Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind andthoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant.

We all want this, but God multiplies what we give.

Dear friends, When God defines love for us, He starts, in order, with the building blocks. Since this is the foundation of Christianity, it is the first thing that we should start building. SO, a prime test of our faith, is learning and practicing patience which for recovery people also note the blend of it in Greek, with serenity!

I was just reminded of this as I plowed out our first major snow storm. Last year was a VERY tough year for snow plowing companies here. Many went out of business.
As I plowed out the first storm that really improved our balance sheet I was reminded of the patience that is needed here and with God. We survived last years plowing season, but were in the double digits on comparative losses, thousand of dollars. However, with this huge storm at the beginning of this season, our balance sheet is closer to even and down to single digits. So, I had to have just short of a year of patience in dealing with God.

How much patience do you have and how good are you working on it. It is also a matter of trusting God, is it not? You want enduring love, but how much have you given so that it multiplies back to you?

John 16:13
But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].

Is the future here?

The Amplified Study Bible really brings out the Greek meaning here in this critical Scripture. Christ promises in this Age, when you become a Christian, you will receive the Holy Spirit. And that Spirit is also called, for our benefit, The "Spirit of Truth", here.
In the King James Bible God refers to "the truth" setting you free and in that version it is a small "t", meaning all truth, not just Biblical Truth. Here in today's Scripture God makes that even clearer.
One of the most recent examples of knowing the truth, in the American society, is the instances of voter fraud in our recent presidential election. No, I am not getting into politics, rather using it as an example of where many Christians give up their sense of truth. When over 100% of the people vote in places, you should know, instinctively by the Spirit of Truth, that something is not truthful. Even Rand Paul noted the voter pattern changing in just minutes has something fishy. Yet some who allege to be Christians are not interested. The American society is an example of how many, or how few people actually use the Spirit of Truth.
So, how big is that plaguing word "All" in you? Do you surrender your mind to party politics or do you stay focused in the importance of "all truth" in your walk with God? You should do the latter, as times are increasingly evil and the devil loves to play with your mind, first. So seek out ALL truth to protect you and your family in the times ahead. USE THAT HOLY SPIRIT to the maximum. Accept that gift of God and be His good steward.

John 15:10
If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

Some people separate these two, but it is not so.

Once in a while you hear Christians say it is all about obedience, while others say it is all about love. I got news fort them. They are inseparable and mentioned more than once together.

I like to say that what really happens at conversion is this:

We realize who Jesus really is.
We realize what He did for us and fall in love with it.
We spend the rest of our lives trying to love Him back.

I pray that this is your experience also. So in loving Him we want to know more about Him and His commandments with the goal to obey those commandments. In all purity, you see, they are inseperable. Now let's get to it and get to it more so!

Ephesians 6:18-20

18 With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all [a]God’s people. 19 And pray for me, that words may be given to me when I open my mouth, to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news [of salvation], 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. And pray that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly and courageously, as I should.

Paul summarizes the armor with this.

Some Christians have NEVER experienced "praying in the Spirit" yet. But here Paul and God give their conclusions to helping those soldiers called into leadership. God even tells us not to cease in our prayers for them. THIS IS OUR PROBLEM, Christians! DO WE DO THIS FOR OUR LEADERS? And some wonder why Christianity is so weak. Here it is. Laid out for us. Do we NOT love our leaders enough? Do we not love our fellow Christians enough? Has this duty been shrugged off to priests, ministers, pastors etc.?
This Scripture, from God, says it is our duty to pray and ask, does it not?
First for fellow Christians involved in the battle.
Then for leaders such as Paul. And look at this who are ambassadors in chains.
Yes, Paul was imprisoned at one point, but more so there are preachers etc. that know of no other calling. No other way that they can serve God. It is as if they were in chains.
Support them, pray for them.
