Phil. 4: 4-5 Because the Lord is near, we can rejoice and treat others with gentleness.
He is near because He lives in us through His Spirit.
He is near because His coming is at hand.
Sometimes I am frustrated and discouraged by what I see taking place all around us. Because Christians - TRUE CHRISTIANS have the power of God within them. Proverbs 28 talks about "the righteous are as bold as lions and the wicked flee when no man pursues them." But in our world today, the wicked rule the day and the so-called "righteous" are nowhere to be found. Probably because VERY FEW who attend church are really TRUE Christ followers. Just try to get some people from your good church to go out of those four walls to the streets - to the very gates of hell and stand up for Jesus. It ain't happening! Many pastors are not in favor of going out to EVANGELIZE.
